There's a science behind Hillary Clinton's trust problems This is not a head scratcher, but this group of Hillary lovers goes to great lengths to answer a question which has a much simpler answer. More after the break. "[Trump] has never held political office, has arguably failed to generate concrete or realistic policy proposals, regularly changes his positions on issues and consistently gets the facts wrong.
This stands in sharp contrast to Hillary Clinton, who has served as secretary of state, senator from New York and first lady of the United States. In his endorsement of her, Barack Obama described Clinton as the most qualified presidential nominee in U.S. history. Presumably experience with, and knowledge of, the system and issues are qualities that make for a good president – so why is this race even close?" As for Trump he is partially known commodity, he is a bigger than life salesman type, who is selling something, Trump for President. We understand this, we see it all the time. We know that these people are not completely trustworthy, but they still are in every poll I have ever seen, more trustworthy than politicians. Second, Trump has been around for a very long time, and he has been able to operate a business in a very risky environment, and he has had relatively good success. The fact that he has never been a politician is a positive selling point to either an outright majority, or something close. Trump comes off as a real person, he doesn't always get the answer right, he sometimes flubs the facts, but at his core he stands by a few basic proposition. This is exactly like real people, but completely unlike politicians who have polled every word, and every position to death, and have created a rote fictitious world which they simply quote, page, and verse when asked. Most Americans do not understand policy, or policy proposals, and would not know good from bad. This includes the entire press corps, although they mince and pretend they understand, they do not, they are the great cattle of the political arena. People also like Trump because he has handed the mincing trollops in the media, the Republican party, and the Democrat party a good old fashioned shellacking. When these irritating pips get around to a squeaking whinge, he blasts them again. Middle America eats this with a spoon. The unifying thing in America is our low appraisal of our political class, the bottom of every poll barrel. And Hillary? What does the author mean by "sharp contrast?" Trump gets a few facts wrong, Hillary lies about everything. Hillary never speaks to the press, and seldom discloses her policy positions, Trump can't stop talking about his. Trump acts like a real person, Hillary a robot. I guess there is a sharp contrast, but not in Hillary's favor. Yes indeed, she served as First Lady, Senator, and Secretary of State. To what end, to what great achievement? Take your time, I'll wait . . . likely forever. There are no great Hillary achievements. Hillary talked, and palavered, and blathered, but while she did so, the foreign policy world, the world Obama hired her to handle quite quickly fell into a state of shocking disorder, and chaos. The policy which Obama implemented is the policy created by Hillary, and it has left the world, the Near East, the Middle East, Russia/Ukraine/Georgia/East Europe, North Africa, Central Africa, Brazil, the South China sea nations, China (am I missing anyone?) in a state of near total collapse. Oh, sorry, Venezuela, and Argentina too! Oh, don't forget Cuba . . . So her stint at State was a disaster. Americans do not give politicians extra credit for results like this. We do not give her any credit for talking while at State, Americans understand she was a total and epic failure. As a Senator, I simply cannot recall any achievements, at least nothing which would make her Presidential material. First Lady, really? She married the right guy, and you think she deserves the Presidency for that? What are you out of your mind? Americans do not find holding an office an achievement, they require performance of duties. If Hillary had performed her duties to the level Condi Rice had, Hillary would win the Presidency in a cake walk. But instead, she was busy selling political influence to foreign governments, foreign corporations, and conspiring to sell influence with her husband, among others. Hillary cannot tell the truth, whether the issue is trivial, or serious, she lies, because she is a pathological liar, incapable of truth. Americans have watched this woman for a very long time, they understand that she is not Presidential timbre, they understand her failings, and they were unwilling to elect her President, in 2008, and today. Forking a ton of hay to make a fancy pants strawman will not find you the answer. The answer is easy, one only need look past the bias, and look to American voters. But then making the strawman allowed the authors to retain their fantastic opinion of Hillary without reality intruding.
