Maddog
The point of this blog is to watch and analyze the death of the progressive model using the lens of classical liberalism.
Maddog is Mark Sherman. My motto: Ego telum. I live in Portland, Oregon, USA with my family. I am a husband and father of two, one son, one daughter.
I live outside of Portland, 90 miles from the rainforest and the ocean to the West, and 90 miles from the desert to the East (25 miles from the Columbia River Gorge). The Puget Sound is an hour and a half to the North, and the closest Wilderness Area is less than an hour away. My endeavors have been varied including church janitor, hospital orderly, grocery stock clerk, paper mill hand, forklift driver, crane operator, dump truck driver, industrial demolition/construction crew chief, pipe fitter, welder, historian, foreign policy analysis, attorney (with experience in litigation, administrative, appellate, construction, medical, and workers' compensation), ski patroller, wilderness medical technician, well as chief cook, chauffeur, and bottle washer for a family. My talents include skiing, kayaking, hunting, fishing, backpacking, hiking, shooting, and exploring, including wilderness kayak expeditions of up to 90 days. My last long solo wilderness kayak expedition, the Inside Passage I had to abandon, age and injuries are catching up with me! I suggest planning your inside passage trip northbound for mid-May or later, mid-April is too early. |
I have traveled extensively throughout America, Canada, and Europe, and have also lived and traveled in Mexico.
