The Venezuelan hunger
The only ways out are starvation, or violent revolution against the military backed government.
Having lived in Mexico during time in the early 1980s I understand the difference between poverty, and poverty American style. This is the real thing, and soon the dogs and cats will run out. I am pretty sure the Iguana's are getting sparse by now.
The US needs to seriously approach regional governments to see if they can broker the step-down of Ralph Kramden Maduro. The problem is that both our President, and the regional governments which might be able to broker such a deal, and essentially socialists themselves, and will likely want to double down on the socialism, not eliminate the socialism. Resolution through collapse is cathartic, but frequently deadly.
I wish the Venezuelans well, there is little more I can do.
