1. This is an example of what I have long called the recycling mentality. It showed up in school when Maddogsson was young. Teachers would spend an inordinate amount of time on inane nonsense like recycling, while ignoring actual education.
Milo: 'Male Feminism Is a Sort of Disease' - Breitbart It has metastasized and become lethal, apparently. Among a small group of males, it has created White Knight Syndrome which is an attempt by low value males to sexually access higher value feminist females. These females have far fewer men chasing, they are bitter, and the White Knight® believes he can finally erase his humiliating virginity, and make the virago happy, by becoming her lickspittle. Dear White Knights, it does not work that way. There is a way to tame the shrew, and it is not by being the lickspittle. Read Shakespeare, The Taming of The Shrew for solid advice on how to manage this feat. However, you are not prepared or capable of handling such a difficult challenge. You should simply accept that your lot is to find a woman in the 2-5 category, woo her, date her, and if she is amenable, marry her. If menless like you pursue The Shrew, you will be reduced to her play thing, and like the cat she so resembles, she will brutally play with you, until you tire of being played with. Then she will discard you, without thought. 2. In other news Dictator Francisco Franco is still dead! And Waugh is still not a woman. TIME: Evelyn Waugh Is One Of The Most-Read Female Writers in Colleges "I was most excited to see Evelyn Waugh, author of Brideshead Revisited and Scoop, one of my favorite novels ever, sneaking in at #97." Yeah, good ol' Evie is one of my favorite "female" authors. I suspect if he were still alive, this accolade might surprise him! And I post this for the Waugh quote alone! Annals of Liberal Illiteracy 3. Pop the champagne! Break out the caviar! Let the good times roll! U.S. Economy Grew at 1% Rate in Fourth Quarter So, we are coasting to a stop more slowly than we first thought. This is the good news here at the end of the progressive era. With the Democrat Presidential candidates both trying to paint the economy in ever bleaker colors, the it seems odd for the DNC/New York Times to take this optimistic position. I suspect that the paper simply cannot face the idea that President Feckless ODither is no longer the appropriate target for the DNY/NYTimes. The paper should be focusing on Hill and The Bern, but I doubt it will be able to do so until a Republican candidate is causing her problems. 4. A primer on how dystopia happens. Indianapolis BRT Plan Bad for the Environment | The Antiplanner Everything in this plan is designed to cost as much money as possible, and use as much fossil fuel as possible, while appearing the opposite. This is the China Ponzi written small. Spend huge, use little, lather, rinse, repeat. Portlandia has done this to the point its bus system is now broken, and in danger of falling much further. Its light rail system is now in need of total overhaul of the East Side line, with no money or provision for money to perform the overhaul. This will cost approximately the same amount as the total build cost in the 1980s. The difference, of course, is the feds helped pay for a huge percentage of the original build. They do not help with the later maintenance. India-no-place, will also be left holding the bag with this new fiasco. Huge buses, few riders, and high costs per rider will force IndyGo to go and cut some other bus routes, or reduce service. This is always step 1. And it never ends there, as Portlandia is finding. Good luck India-no-place, pray the self drive car rescues you from the predations of your transit betters, and soon. They are ravenous, for money, ravenous. 5. Just drawing up the battle formations for the pending Civil War! ‘Soldiers of Allah’ to counter Soldiers of Odin in Norway The politicians whinge, while the populace acts. It appears that things may have gotten away from the politicians this time. And I suspect this is exactly the wrong time to let things get away. The choice now is for the police to begin addressing the crime wave created by the new, and feral, or be relegated to nonparticipant status by these factional groups. Unless the feral recant their ways, and begin acting within the parameters required of the civilized. Hahahahahahahahahaha! I am too funny! Tally ho, boys! I've read Carnage and Culture by Victor Davis Hanson. I already know the outcome. Carnage and Culture: Landmark Battles in the Rise to Western Power 6. Hey, that number ain't so big! 1 in 4 Norway sex offenders has immigrant background Except that immigrants only account for 15.6% of the Norwegian population. Immigration to Norway - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Muslim immigrants comprise only 1.5% of Norwegian immigrants. But they account for 50% of all rapes, and 100% of all violent aggravated rape. The establishment drolly replies: "The police report also points out that “it must be stressed that the strong over-representation of people from minority backgrounds for several types of rape can not be interpreted as meaning that foreign culture is a causal explanation of rape” and that “the statistical difference in criminal behavior between ethnic groups disappears when controlling for socio-economic conditions.'" I am sure this is a great comfort to the rape victims. By all means allow more of these people in as "refugees." These statistics are pretty close to what we have in the US with our young black male population, who commit well more than 60% of all violent crimes. The difference is in America blacks account for about 15% of the population, not 1.5%. The Norwegians have a very serious problem on their hands, and they seem to be whistling past the graveyard with their inane platitudes about minorities, foreign culture, and socio-economic conditions. I doubt the public cares about any of this, they care about not being raped, and the police seem to be unable to protect against this eventuality. Self defense would be a good alternative, but that is off the table. So, ladies you are on your own. Good luck. 7. Yeah, it really is that bad. http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/9e2533d6-dbd8-11e5-9ba8-3abc1e7247e4.html#axzz4113mMs6C "Weaker demand from emerging markets made 2015 the worst year for world trade since the aftermath of the global financial crisis, highlighting rising fears about the health of the global economy." Europe is in the dumpster, the US "good news" is we are only "almost dead" not actually dead, and China is on fire. "The Baltic Dry index, a measure of global trade in bulk commodities, has been touching historic lows. China, which in 2014 overtook the US as the world’s biggest trading nation, this month reported double-digit falls in both exports and imports in January. In Brazil, which is now experiencing its worst recession in more than a century, imports from China have collapsed." Here Comes The Red Swan And Other Reasons To Be Very Afraid Stockman may be apocalyptic but he is not wrong. The Chinese stock market is pushing a cumulative 45% decline. China has expanded its debt 60X from $500 billion in the mid 1990s to $30 trillion today. They have done so by building unproductive assets, hypothecating these assets, and thereby creating more money to borrow, and then re-hypothecating them over, and over again. These assets consist of ghost cities, unused factories, assembly plants, office buildings, and about 70 million vacant homes/apartments/condos, among other assets. Hypothecation - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia This is the greatest Ponzi ever perpetuated. To compound the issue, the Chinese GDP figures are at best wishful thinking. This is the progressive Keynesian economic model writ HUGE. China is all in, and will either win big, or lose everything, there is no middle ground here. China will go through a cathartic realignment of its financial system, its economy, and probably everything else. It will not be pulling the world out of a recession for the foreseeable future. The US has been a brighter spot, but really not much to write home about. We are now settling for growth that prior to 2008, we would have been unhappy with. http://www.ft.com/intl/cms/s/0/1fda071e-dc8b-11e5-827d-4dfbe0213e07.html#axzz41J101C14 I can't tell if all the optimism is real or if it is an attempt by force of will, to keep America out of a recession. I hope it works, whichever. 8. In my price range they have a dank windowless oubliette, in a 4 floor walk-down. Bonus, no window bars! Of course the whole point of an oubliette is no bars, because, no windows. Flats with no windows on sale in London for £465,000 No, they are not kidding. And, no, they are not going to free up a bit of land here or there to get rid of the insane housing prices in Britain. 9. This could be a debate if the climate alarmist side had even a shred of credibility, but they do not. They have spend more than a decade lying, obfuscating, hiding data, playing FOIA games, and falsifying data. Did Global Warming Slow Down in the 2000s, or Not? The emails alone are deadly damning. Only a naif could take what the alarmists say at face value. The rest of us really need to see the real data, the statical sets, and give their argument a through evaluation before even tentatively accepting it. Hey, I thought the science was settled, and needed no further debate?!?! 10. The real reason Jeb flamed out after spending a Clintonian amount of cash. Former Jeb staffers tear into Christie endorsement What a bunch of losers! It is clear that if Jeb were being advised by these yammerheads he was in serious trouble. Remember these two with more money than God, still could not find an acorn which would give Bush a win, or even a second place. Bush chose poorly, and failed to understand the deep antiestablishment furor burning through the electorate. You go girls, I suspect you have fewer options now then you did when Bush withdrew. 11. Trump trolls Mexico, hooks a whopper. Former Mexican president curses at Trump on live TV "Former Mexican President Vicente Fox on Friday doubled down on his controversial comments about Donald Trump’s plans for a border wall, repeating his vehement insistence that Mexico will not pay for “that f---ing wall.” Fox’s initial use of the expletive during an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos earned the ire of Trump himself, who demanded an apology from the ex-head of state." Wow. So Trump teaches the Grand Master Troll course for us by ensnaring Vicente Fox in his "Mexico will pay for the wall" rhetoric, and then when Fox is on the hook snarling and snapping, Trump harpoons him again by asking for an apology! Brilliant. This, in a nutshell, is Trumps appeal. There is anger over immigration, in part due to misplaced anger from the automation, and progress moving jobs out of factories. This is driven by the fact that we are ending a period of stable relationships and entering a period of quixotic change. Jobs which used to be stable, and for most, life long are no longer. Today entire factories are shuttered, and entire towns are all but jobless. There is also misplaced anger at the foreign firms which are able to manufacture products for less. While this second item is not an "immigrant" issue they are both foreigner issues. Many people in the US are angry, and dispirited because their towns are failing, because the manufacturing jobs they relied upon for so long are disappearing. Their world is changing, and they have not grip, or purchase which allows them to control the change. Trump focuses all of this anger by trolling Fox, and when Fox retorts, Trump trolls him again. No politician does this. Thus, he becomes the hero. While the Democrats think Hillary immune from such trolling, I would not want to be Hillary when Trump begins to troll her about the Democrat parties treatment of blacks, or hispanics. Maybe he will be powerless, but then that is exactly what the Republicans thought when he announced. Hillary is a very poor campaigner. That Sanders is hot on her heals shows this. And, frankly, Trump's campaigning has been nothing short of brilliant. He spends penny's, and wins big, while Bush spends millions, for naught. I almost don't care about the outcome anymore, I just want to watch one of the greatest shows on Earth. I am slowly beginning to believe a Trump Presidency would look a whole lot like the middle 4 years of the Bill Clinton Presidency, you remember, the good part. The part after Hillary's failed, and nearly disastrous healthcare fiasco, and before the scandals sucked all the political air out of the entire country. The flyover people have been abandon by both parties, and worse. The graft and corruption which the politicians use to fund their reelections comes from the tax money these people pay. That money is used to extract ever more. All this money goes to cronies, reelections campaigns, and to pay the salaries of people comprising the politicians voting block. And now a man, a keenly observant man, sees the plight of the flyover people, turns to them and offers a hand, and at the same offers the back of his other hand to their antagonists. And no one in the political world can understand why the flyover people applaud? I expect Trump to be far more viable on both sides of the political isle than the brilliant political theorists understand. Trump is about finding the frustration and anger in a people, and then simply standing out front of that, offering a hand to the frustrated, and the back of his other hand to their antagonists. Are, perchance blacks frustrated? How about hispanics? They young? The college debt slaves? And will Hillary somehow appeal to these people? She hasn't yet, so why would she in the future? Don't be surprised when the world as described by the wizened mandarines is not similar to the world that is. But maybe I am rationalizing, just in case . . . Welcome to WeeksEnd, enjoy, and never forget, there are only two working days till Monday, your relaxed, rested, and ready, Maddog
