‘Sharknado’ creator: Epic fishy storm could actually happen "Sharknado 5: Global Swarming” takes a campy dive into what might happen if climate change spiraled out of control — and features a raging hurricane-tornado that sucks up massive man-eaters and spits them out onto Rome, London and Amsterdam. But as the planet heats up, wild weather patterns really do increase the chance of a fishy storm of biblical proportions, according to “Sharknado” originator Thunder Levin." More below.
For a writer Thunder Thighs knows how to turn a phrase, “We know that powerful enough tornadoes and hurricanes can lift large objects, including sharks if they’re passing over water . . . ” What does that mean? Is he saying that hurricanes or tornadoes could lift sharks if the shark were passing over water? How far over the water? Does this wanker realize this is a fictional story, and no storm will drop a few hundred sharks on some poor unsuspecting town? Probably not. Thunder Thighs believes that because storms occasionally drop tiny fish, frogs and the like from the sky, that it is entirely possible for hundreds of 1,500 - 2,500 lb adult Great White sharks to be sucked up by a storm and dropped back to earth, alive and ready to kill! How said sharks would survive the hours or days out of the water it might take for the storm to perambulate to the town, or how the sharks might survive falling thousands of feet seems not to be of concern for our intrepid "intellectual." Here is a photo of the kind of fish that rain from the sky. Which one do you assume weighs 2,000 lbs? The correct answer is none of the above. None of these fish weigh close to one pound, let along 2,000 lbs. Notice how energetic these fish are! Don't worry, they are not dead, they're just napping after spending days out of water, and then falling thousands of feet to the ground. My advice: Thunder Thighs, don't quit your day job.
