You know, those kvetchy Japanese aren't taking any of these "migrants" perhaps its time for the US to force the Japanese to begin to take their fair share of the worlds refugees. Because they have taken nearly exactly zero % of the worlds refugees since 1945, they have some catching up to do. Right now would be an opportune time to shaft Abe!

This is a war criminal nation who has done little to salve the fact that from 1900-1945 it created more refugees, murdered more civilians, committed more war crimes than any other nation on Earth, ever. One might expect that the Japanese would now take more refugees? Nope. 

Why not Japan?

Because they are xenophobes incapable of living with anyone other than Japanese.

So has it always been. These people must be forced to act reasonably, responsibly at every turn. Maddog tires of this lot of bad actors bad mouthing the US, and other nations who are members in good standing of the world community who show up every time there is a humanitarian crisis. The Japanese are no shows who must be pressured into assisting and who only want to drive by and throw a few hot pennies out the car window, then roar off laughing at the beggars burned fingers. 

Obama should have done this shortly after the Abe snub. Along with a good dose of Japanese war crime retelling reality. The last thing the Japanese need today is a nationalist like Abe at the helm, then again he seems to be running the ship pursuant to WWII Operation Ten-Go, in Japanese Ten-gō sakusen, in which the battleship Yamato was to be grounded, its sailors placed ashore as naval infantry, and its guns used a shore battery. The operation was spotted by submarines, engaged by US aircraft carrier, and after a two hour attack by naval aircraft, the Yamato was sunk, along with the light cruiser Yahagi, and eight destroyers.

One hopes Ten-Go is not Abe's plan. Although, frankly, the Japanese economy appears to have been grounded decades ago. 

One can only hope for a President who will address these situations reasonably, but muscularly. For now we have a dilettante dandy flouncing from one foreign policy disaster to another, frequently making more rhubarb along the way.
