David Ferguson reports in the Guardian that after being shot at, running saved him.
Running is great advice right up to the point where either you cannot run, or there is no place to run to. Using a gun is always the last resort. But once down to the last resort, all you have is your stellar personality, and hope. At this point it is nice to have something else, something which can even the odds, and give you a chance.
The author believes gun use is a fantasy, yet every day people protect themselves, and their loved ones from people intending to do them serious harm. Not everyone can be a Bolt fast sprinter. And locking yourself in the bathroom is more likely to work in the movies than in real life.
