Nigel Farage Resigns as UKIP Leader After Brexit Vote
It took more than the 16 days necessary for Cincinnatus to ride into Rome accept the Dictatorship, name his Master of the Horse (his second in command) Lucius Tarquinius, assemble an army, march the army to Algid Mons, Latium where Cincinnatus lead the infantry himself while Tarquinius lead the cavalry in the Battle of Mons Algidus, against the Aequi, and the Sabines. Cincinnatus won the battle and returned to a Roman Triumph. Although the Dictatorship was for a period of 6 month, Cincinnatus completed all of the necessary tasks in 16 days, and resigned.
It has taken Farage a bit longer, but there's more bureaucracy today, and he wasn't made Dictator.
Congratulations to Mr. Farage, none in the EU Parliament thought he would be able to secure Brexit, but he did. Even better it looks likely that Mr. Juncker will lose is tidy sinecure, and this is almost as gratifying as Brexit, almost.
