France is in an existential fight for its economic life; the socialism is strong in this one, and it is not clear whether France can shake off its grip. If it does not it will be doomed to the same fate as the Southern Europe, a slow slide out of the first world and into what is best described as a new second world economy. Don't worry France, Greece will be waiting to welcome you with open arms!
Ultimately this is the difference which arrises between the Atomized Nuclear Family, and the Hierarchical Family models. The ANF is the model followed by the Anglosphere, and the Scandinavian countries, and to a much lesser extent, the Germanic countries.
The HF model is the model used by most of the rest of the world.
The ANF creates vibrant economies, the HF creates moribund economies. Think carefully before choosing.
