Disturbing video shows Disney employee fending off a gator near guests
Florida is water, and gators. People who visit need to understand this. Wife and I have visited Florida more than once. We have found a gator under the car, or someone else's car, more than once. It is freaky, but apparently not that uncommon.
The good memory I have is one time in the mid 1990s we went to Florida, wife spoke at a conference at Dizzyworld, and Maddogsson and I realized there was a shuttle launch scheduled for the morning after we arrived. We drove the Bee line across the state to watch the launch, pretty cool, pretty lucky! I only wish it had been a night launch, but hey, I saw something I never expected to see.
Gators acclimated to people are a very bad idea. People are foolish enough to feed them, acclimating the gators to humans and human food. I expect a $1,000 fine per occurrence would make this a bit less enjoyable, but even that might not be enough to change people's behavior.
