FBI fails to properly vet terrorist influenced hot head, Congressional Democrats throw anti-liberty tantrum

Democrats launch a toddler-ocracy: Column

All while the murder's accomplice wife escapes.

More after the break.
The killer had myriad reasons for the FBI to either deny him licensure, or, at least, continued investigation. Instead they punted, and after he acted, they let his wife escape. Could Congresses actions be to divert attention from governments failures? Do you really want to give up your rights to be protected solely by police. Even France, Britain, Germany, Norway, and pretty much all the other European states with extremely tight gun control still have mass gun crime. This seems more like adulthood malpractice than a good idea.

"The bearing of arms is a sign of citizenship, which is to say, of being a full participant in government who acts through it, as opposed to subjectship, the state of being a passive being who does not act through government but who is acted upon. In that sense, it is like the ability to vote or to be eligible for service in government. Frederick Douglass understood this linkage perfectly, inasmuch as these ideas were much better understood in those more literate days. “A man’s rights rest in three boxes,” he said. “The ballot box, jury box, and the cartridge box. Let no man be kept from the ballot box because of his color. Let no woman be kept from the ballot box because of her sex.” The militias contemplated by the Second Amendment were armed citizen volunteers who could act to use the force of arms to keep the peace in an emergency; they are entitled to act in the peacekeeping role generally reserved for the state because, being the citizens of a republic, they are the state, the very seat of its sovereignty. The formal government is a provisional arrangement (hence regular elections) constituted as a convenience. While the Second Amendment may not codify a “right of revolution,” as some put it, the idea of armed citizens pushing out a government that had become inconvenient, a burden on their liberties rather than a guarantor of them, could hardly have been alien to a group of men who had just risked their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor doing just that."

Democrats Abandon Due Process

Here Williamson explains the corruption of the Democrats anti-liberty tantrum.

"It is a measure of the corruption of the Democratic party and its ability to inspire corruption in others that John Lewis, once a civil-rights leader, is today leading a movement to strip Americans of their civil rights based on secret lists of subversives compiled by police agencies and the military."

That John Lewis would change sides in the civil right debate, for mere political advantage should be shocking, but the Democrat progressives have fallen low, and it no longer merits a yawn. They have switched sides, and now fight on the side of oppression of liberty.

"Through me you pass into the city of woe:
Through me you pass into eternal pain:
Through me among the people lost for aye.

Justice the founder of my fabric mov'd:
To rear me was the task of power divine,
Supremest wisdom, and primeval love.

Before me things create were none, save things
Eternal, and eternal I endure.
All hope abandon ye who enter here.

Such characters in colour dim I mark'd
Over a portal's lofty arch inscrib'd:
Whereat I thus: Master, these words import."

Dante, The Divine Comedy (1814 translation into English by Reverend H. F. Cary)

All hope abandon ye who enter here, indeed.

The Democrat party is working for the elimination of Free Speech rights, Free Religion rights, Free Association rights, the right to Keep and Bear Arms, Due Process rights . . . Their anti-liberty goals are endless.

"The Democratic party in 2016 is not a liberal party. It is a party that is working diligently to rescind free-speech rights on one front and to undermine due-process protections on another. It has abandoned the notion of procedural justice in pursuit of substantive outcomes demanded by its supporters, the rule of law be damned. There is a term for the armed pursuit of justice, real or perceived, outside the rule of law, and that term is “lynching.'"

Democrats Abandon Due Process

They have switched sides, to become the enemy of liberty, to represent authoritarian control, autarchy, and ultimately tyranny. All because they believe in their benevolence, the goodness of their causes, and in doing what is proper for "the Greater Good!" However, “Most of the evil in this world is done by people with good intentions.” T.S. Eliot.

You will have to eliminate your rights to find out the parameters of their good intentions, something I cannot imagine doing.
