French tourism down, British tourism up
Britain has less terror, and lower exchange rates making Britain more tourist friendly.
"The only sector favored by Brexit is tourism, allowing tourists to claim for value for money." This is economic nonsense, many sectors like exports will be favored by a low exchange rate for the Pound. If Britain were sentient it would immediately open its borders to worldwide free trade. This would allow rapid economic expansion, but the exporters would shriek, and scream, so it will not happen.
"French tourism has suffered since the Paris attacks in November 2015, with further losses after Nice in July 2016.
Speaking to Le Journal du Dimanche, the French Minister of Tourism Matthias Feks, says that foreign visitors dropped by 10% in the first half of 2016. Cancellations come from the United States, Asia and the Gulf region. European visitors continue to visit France.
Paris has seen it occupancy rates drop by 32%, which is more than a 50% year on year drop; Nice has suffered a 4% drop in tourism revenue.
The government is taking measures to ease debt servicing in the tourism sector and suspend tax payments."
As the Islamists continue to target The EU with terror, tourism will slowly decline leaving much of the EU in even an even worse economic condition. Expect the EU economy to decline.
