Conflicted Feelings about Colin Kaepernick - Abigail R. Hall Blanco
"Quite frankly, I don’t care that Kaepernick chooses to sit during the national anthem, regardless of his motives—good, bad, or indifferent. He has absolutely every right to do so. My response to the argument that it’s “offensive” is the same response I give every time someone “argues” with the adult of equivalent of “it hurts my feelings.”
Go kick rocks."
I am unconflicted about Colin. I agree with the above statement completely. However, Colin needs to also understand that how one behaves is a look into the inner person, his soul, his moral compass, or lack thereof. And Colin, you come a cropper regarding moral compass, critical thinking, logic, reason, and nearly everything else one should find important.
I have shied from this "controversy" mostly because I so seldom find men who are really good at children's game to be good at anything else. Some of this is a lack of life experience, some due to the focus necessary to be great at one thing like football. Advice is best procured from those with broad experiences, training, interests, and a probing curious intellect, not narrow.
Colin appears the narrow, simple young man with a chip on his shoulder. Behave as the bore Colin, wear it proudly, its is all you have. Oh, right, you are also really good at a child's game. I am sure you have a room full of trophy's.
