Money Can't Buy Love — or in Some Cases, Even Elections
. . . candidates who do, don't!
This is pretty simple. But for decades the candidates have done what the establishment wants, and the voters have been left with a choice between Tweedle Dee, or Tweedle Dum. The is an expensive proposition, as the voters don't much care, so the candidates must spend lots of money, and be very negative. But when the candidate is closely aligned with the voters, all that money is unnecessary. Even less is needed if the candidate is sufficiently interesting to attract media and eyeballs.
