It would be far better if the school administration and others did not know who was carrying!

"THAT’S WHY THEY CALL IT “CONCEALED CARRY”: Kentucky Governor Says We Need ‘Element of the Unknown’ with Guns Secretly on School Staff. “Don’t disclose ‘how many people it is and whether it’s the gym coach or whether it’s the third-grade arts teacher,’ says Bevin on arming employees.'"

The best thing for Trump and the federal government to do is to legalize concealed carry reciprocity, altering the landowner liability in gun free zones by imposing absolute liability, and requiring no limits, full coverage insurance. Then offer anyone teaching at a school, working at a school or volunteering at a school more than two days per week, a full tax credit for taking a tactical handgun course, if the individual concealed carries while at the school.

NRA Boycotters Get Spanked in Public Opinion Polls

"Business leaders are increasingly under pressure, largely from younger generations of socially conscious and digital-media savvy consumers, as well as from employees, to take a stand on everything from immigration to gay rights to climate change,” The Wall Street Journal’s Vanessa Fuhrmans and Rachel Feintzeig wrote Wednesday."

If business leaders cannot figure this out, they deserve to wither on the vine. They will be replaced by more circumspect people who can look at the loud leftist Millennials and realize they will never amount to anything or become customers. Allowing your company to be derailed by losers is pathetic.

Unsurprisingly, the anti-liberty progressive left controls the student activists

Big surprise: Student gun control activists have been getting help from Democrats, progressive groups

The anti-liberty progressive left is willing to indoctrinate the young and stand on the bodies of the dead to get their way, and further erode your liberties. They are the anti-civil rights leaders of our day. They stand with the anti-civil rights leaders of my youth, like the Southern Democrats who violently opposed the Civil Rights movement. Interestingly, it was the Democratic Party which wore the mantle of anti-civil rights then, and they again wear that same mantle today.

The anti-liberty progressive left in the Democratic Party always stands athwart civil rights shouting, "STOP!!!"

Inflation is in the Rear-View Mirror - Mish Talk

One of the critical aspects of the progressive movement is the elimination of individual responsibility and replacement of it with corporate collectivism. To Boomers and other progressives, the optimum outcome is zero responsibility married to a libertine society. This is why the progressive left is so antagonistic towards concepts like self-defense, and responsibility for one's actions. Only the state should have agency, the individual is an infant and should be only allowed the responsibilities of infancy.

P.J. O’Rourke, writing in his book On The Wealth of Nations: Books That Changed the World:

The best sentence I read today…..

"To give Adam Smith’s case against mercantilism in extreme concision: imports are Christmas morning; exports are January’s MasterCard bill.

Here’s the entire paragraph that ends with the sentence above:

In “An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations,” Adam Smith was serving a nine-hundred-page indictment of the mercantile system. Mercantilism was the dominant economic theory of his day, insofar as it can be called a theory. In fact, mercantilism was a ragbag of commercial regulations and tax and tariffs policies resulting from special interest politics, influence peddling, and parliamentary logrolling all mixed together with some general misunderstanding about cash, capital flow, and government finances. Mercantilists held that the way to make a nation rich was to increase its exports and limit its imports. To give Adam Smith’s case against mercantilism in extreme concision: imports are Christmas morning; exports are January’s MasterCard bill."

Sadly, nothing has changed in 250 years. Politicians are still busy logrolling, influence peddling, and mucking up trade which doesn't need politicians at any level.

Wealth is created through imports; exports are a loss of wealth.

Politicians Deserve Oscars, Too

"On the other hand, President Trump chose Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions (R) to be attorney general. Sessions wins the award for Worst Praise of Abusive Government. He said this about asset forfeiture: “I love that program. We had so much fun doing that, taking drug dealers’ money.”

Fun? Police grabbed billions of dollars, mostly from people who never got trials. That’s a crime, not good government, but both political parties supported it."

We the people deserve what we get, we vote for these vile creatures.

Electric Vehicle Subsidies Hurt the Poor and Help the Rich | RealClearEnergy

But of course! Progressive policies are here to help the middle class, the upper middle class and the wealthy, not the poor. Social Security and Medicare are the gross examples of these policies. The upper class and upper middle class receive large benefits from these systems. There is no reason to transfer scarce government resources to these people; they are wealthy enough to provide these benefits themselves. While the middle and lower classes also receive benefits they receive much smaller benefits, and they tend not to live as long, and so the benefits remain concentrated in the wealthier groups.

Texas Leads Novel Legal Approach to Taking Down Obamacare

... now that the tax code provision is stripped out, the law lacks Constitutional provenance. I am sure the Supremes will find a way around this just like they "discovered" that Obamacare Constitutionality could be derived from the tax code. The irony is the states are using the Supreme's skewer to skewer Obamacare. Heh!
