Here's How America Let 70,000 Opioid-Related Deaths Go Unaccounted For
Total opioid death in America in 2016 was a minimum of 40,000, but this article says probably more. The medical industry has much to account for as it is hierarchical and highly regulated. Guns kill 30,000 Americans of which 11,000 are homicides, and about 65% of those are related to the money involved in the illegal drug trade. 22,000 of the gun deaths are suicide, of which all are individual choices, many of which can be traced back to physicians and the medical industry. A gun is a tool similar to the automobile in a bank robbery. The gun has nothing to do with the decision to commit suicide, it is only the tool used in the commission, and it is only one of many tools used. Similarly, the automobile has nothing to do with the decision to rob a bank; it is a tool used once the decision has been made. More below.

In the shrinking Clinton Archipelago, the Dems double down on 19th-century progressivisms!6/28/2018 Progressives’ wins highlight divide in Democratic Party
Do we go back beyond the last century to the one before, or do we move into the future? That is the question poised for the next few election cycles. The Democratic Party and its progressive wing represent the 19th-century and the antiquated thinking of progressivism/socialism. The Establishment Republican Party stands with the Dems on the issue of wanting more graft and corruption, although the Establishment Republicans are the party of the 20th-century. Only Trump offers policies which will move the nation and the world forward through a new paradigm and new world order and American order. There are clear differences between the parties and visions offered in this and the next few elections. It is time to determine the future of America and the world for the next 80 years. Choose wisely. Cautionary Tales from the Cities of Seattle and Philadelphia | Newgeography.com
"For some time now urban core proponents have boasted about a "return to the cities" from the suburbs. And while the urban core cities (historical core municipalities) have done better in recent years than before, the claim has been significantly overblown. Suburbs have continued to capture the "lion's share" of metropolitan growth in the United States. Moreover, suburban growth since the beginning of the overwhelming automobile oriented suburban expansion since World War II has been far greater than could ever have been explained by central city population losses (Note)." The city was a mistake. However, few countries give their people the ability to choose where they will live. Most, like Britain, have all manner of rules, regulation, and laws which drive up the prices of housing making it unaffordable for all but the upper middle class to live in the most desirable single-family housing. There is no reason for this, especially now that Europe and much of the industrial west is demographically collapsing. The population bomb fears were overblown in the 1960s they are ludicrous today. But I have decided the snail tongs are brilliant for flipping food inconspicuously across the table. There is no reason the union ruling has to blow a hole in the Democratic Party's funding!6/27/2018 Trump crows as Supreme Court crushes unions in new ruling
Only some of the public employees will cut off these payments, the others, if they believe in the cause, can chip in more in payment to the unions' slush funds. This would require these union members put their money where their mouths are but, hey; it could happen. Halo Top is ‘dramatically’ under-filling pints: lawsuit
I bought a few pints based on reviews. I think they are still sitting in the freezer, I can't get any takers. Frankly, I'd feel better if I opened them and they were empty. Yes, I tried them, once. Enough said. For comparison, I cannot keep the Umpqua brand ice cream in stock, it is eaten by the barrel. Man calls cops on passenger for eating burrito on train
Anonymity, crowding, rudeness, lack of space, and much more all make the city a witches brew of anti-humanism. It is a wonder everyone living in cities is not dead. The cures are suburbs, exurbs, and rural. The new American Order will bring with it a new socio-economic model which will change the employment jobs rubric which will allow more people to leave the city while increasing their productivity, pay, and life satisfaction. The abomination had nothing to do with abortion, women's rights, or choice. It had to do with the fact that the Constitution was explicitly written to establish a limited government. We the people gave up specific rights to the new government to empower the government. The rights we gave up are explicitly discussed in the document, as is the fact that no other rights were given up by We the people. In some of the post-1929 Supreme Court cases, the Justices have ignored the Constitutional intent and decided cases so that We the people have rights usurped without the necessary Constitutional Amendment processes being followed. This is a taking of rights which no one in the government, not the courts, not the legislature, and not the executive have the ability to do. Only We the people can, through the Constitutional Amendment process, perform this function. It is sacrosanct. The Justices did this injustice by scraping together bits and pieces of other rights and conflating the idea that within those rights existed another right which had been given to the federal government, the abortion right through the right of privacy. No reasonable analysis can get one to this solution without ideological blinders. The abortion issue always was and, should remain, a right inherent in the individual. The individuals should be able through the republican democratic process to determine whether that right will remain individual, whether it should be transferred to the state, by state Constitutional Amendment or another valid process, or whether it should be transferred to the federal government through expansion of the federal government's powers by Constitutional Amendment. This right which was unconstitutionally stripped from We the people should be returned. The US Supreme Court should act sua sponte if necessary. Roe versus Wade should be overturned. We the people should retain the right to address this issue as we see fit. |
