Housing Bubble Pathologies Start To Bite – Yet Another Sign The Cycle Has Peaked
The author believes that the problem is easy money. And, indeed, easy money is playing a role, but the problem is land use restrictions combined with easy money. Without the land use restrictions, more housing would be built, and while the easy money would drive up prices, the new housing available in the market would limit how much the prices could rise. If demand were brisk, housing starts would increase rapidly. Too much supply is usually created which causes a plateau in housing prices. Then as wealth again rises there are too few housing starts due to the housing price plateau, and prices run up for a while again until a new plateau forms. This is the stairstep model which drove American housing prices for most of US history until in the 1960-70s progressives finally began implementing land use boundaries and other restrictive land use laws. After that, the housing markets subject to those restrictions entered a highly destructive bubble model. More below.

Obamas' Netflix deal inked with help from bundler buddy
"Netflix chief content officer Ted Sarandos celebrated Barack and Michelle Obama as “among the world’s most respected and highly-recognized public figures” in announcing a deal last week for the Obama family to produce films and series for the streaming service. “We are incredibly proud they have chosen to make Netflix the home for their formidable storytelling abilities,” Sarandos said in a news release. What Sarandos didn’t mention: He and his wife have long been donors and friends to the Obamas, having raised more than a half-million dollars as bundlers for the president’s campaign in 2012. His wife, Nicole Avant, also was appointed by Obama as ambassador to the Bahamas, serving from 2009 to 2011." Dude? Using other peoples money to pay back your debt for the ambassadorship? Really? This will not turn out well. If it were not for corruption, the progressives would have no ethics at all. A California church flirts with an unusual social experiment: to never call police again
Please advertise your position it will make for a good social experiment. 'Color brave,' furious customers, and 'eye-opening' interactions: Starbucks baristas reveal what it was like to attend the chain's massive racial-bias training
Remember, this is supposed to clean your chakras and intersections of all of your racist, sexist, genderist and other -ists and -isms in a couple of hours. Why would Starbucks not make something this valuable available to the public? I, for one, want my chakras and intersections cleaned. Pretend recycling makes liberals feel better about themselves and their community
The progressive lies about trash and recycling are incredibly unethical and result in absurd cost and time wasting on the part of people in the community who believe their wasted time is causing a valuable outcome. It isn't. Add in the problem of governments fining people for failing to recycle when the recycle is actually being comingled with garbage and landfilled and the problem is not just ethical it becomes criminal. I will likely drop my Netflix subscription; it is only a matter of time. I cannot see dropping a dime on Obama, but 50 million dollars, oh, hell no!!! |
