Journalists need to find a new way to handle Kellyanne Conway That Saletan is writing this dreck, about how journalists need to find a way to get Trump to admit that Obama's penis is larger than Trump's penis, er Obama's inauguration crowd is larger than Trumps inauguration crowd (sorry I get these nonsense issues confused) proves that Trump and Conway have won. The media has limply eschewed actual investigative reporting for so long, they no longer understand what it is, how to produce it, or why it matters. Instead we get penis measuring contests as "hard journalism." Yes, all puns intended. More below. "This drives journalists nuts. They feel a duty to rebut lies, and in the age of “John Oliver Destroys Something” headlines, there’s an appetite among liberal viewers for plucky correspondents eviscerating right-wing ideologues on-air. We’ve now seen one host after another—Todd, Cuomo, Anderson Cooper—lose his cool or waste a long interview trying to make Conway acknowledge elementary facts."
Yes, facts about a penis measuring contest. Again, Trump/Conway wins, because these idiots play the game, and the game is rigged to make them look like the fools they are, and Trump/Conway comes out just fine. They could actually stop focusing on these trivial, stupid, idiotic issues, and turn to more serious issues, but after 8 years of tongue bathing President Obama they don't have the skills necessary. These people are apparently completely unskilled at interviewing, and investigative reporting. The only words which spring to mind are, "You're fired." But that's Trump' line, or so I've heard. What makes this all the more comical is that Hillary Clinton simply did not hold press conferences, or answer press questions, except for those from sycophants, and devotees. Yet during this period we never heard a peep from the press about how Hillary was treating them poorly, by not holding press conferences, or sitting down with journalists willing to ask hard questions. Trump and company are willing to sit down, and address the hard questions, the media is not up to asking them. And so they whinge, and wheedle, and complain, and whine. And middle America does not care one whit. Talk about irrelevant.
