Clinton’s use of private emails created ‘security risks’, report finds - FT.com Oh, never mind, it's just Hillary Clinton. More below! Hillary Clinton created “security risks” by using a personal email account and private email server when she was secretary of state, according to a sharply critical report by the state department that could haunt her in the tightening presidential election campaign.
The department’s inspector general, an internal watchdog, said Mrs Clinton had not sought legal approval to conduct official business on the server she installed in her New York home. It also said security officials would not have sanctioned the practice had they been informed." This should be expected from the politicians at the end of the progressive era. Political movements, like mass movements have an understandable form, a beginning, a growth/middle, and a slow decline marked by decay and corruption. The beginning occurs because a small cadre of people who deeply believe in the project come together and zealously seek to create and build the project. This is followed by the growth/middle when the project slowly becomes more bureaucratic, and regulatory. The people during this phase are a blend of softer true believers, and other workers, one group interested in relatively easy, secure jobs for life, and another interested in political fiefdom building. The final stage is the decline, fall, and ultimately the replacement. During this phase nearly all the true believes have become disgusted with the projects hijacking by the fiefdom builders, and fiefdom builders, and the security hounds are all that are left. The fiefdom builders are constantly being replaced by a rapacious group of political pillagers, like Hillary Clinton. They are only tangentially interested in the fiefdom, and nearly solely interested in personal gain. The fall happens because it becomes increasingly difficult to hide the dysfunctionality of the project, and the rapaciousness of the administrators. So, what is Trump in this analysis. He isn't. Trump is one of the many outliers which comes into play as the project begins to collapse. Sometimes this individual can be a Cincinnatus, but this time it the politics of NO. Walter Russell Mead, elaborates: "But this apparent weakness and vulnerability conceals a strength: Trump is an unconventional candidate whose proposition to the electorate isn’t about particular policy stands, experience, credentials or even personal and political honesty. Trump is the purest expression of the politics of ‘NO!’ that I personally can recall. He’s the candidate for people who think the conventional wisdom of the American establishment is hopelessly out of touch with the real world. He’s the little boy saying that the emperor, or in this case, the aspiring empress, has no clothes. What energizes the Trump phenomenon is the very power of rejection: people who think the train is about to head off a cliff want to pull the emergency cord that stops the train even if they don’t know what happens next. To many of Trump supporters, Hillary Clinton looks like Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest: the enforcer of a fatally flawed status quo and the personification of bureaucratic power in a system gone rogue." The Meaning of Mr. Trump Read the whole thing, Mead is always worth the read, and here particularly so. Hillary is acting as she and most of the remaining progressives will act in this final act of the progressive project. The cure is not to fight these actions, but to simply move on from the now completely failed progressive movement, and begin the hard work of building the replacement socioeconomic model. This seems an easy choice. Choose wisely.
