Antifa and BLM are motivated by envy, resentment, hatred for the productive who do so much better than they, because they are productive and focused. Antifa and BLM are failures, and they cannot accept that fact, while others are not, and they cannot accept that fact either.
Don't wonder why the academics hate business successes, they hate for the same reasons, the academics are unproductive, and society treats them accordingly. Entrepreneurs are productively improving the life of the average person, and the average person treats them accordingly.
Anderson brings up two crucial points, which make it easy to determine when one debater is disingenuous. The first is they summarily silence debate frequently with appeals to authority. Second, they redefine words frequently to mean the opposite. An example of this is the work sustainable, which used to mean something which could continue for a long time or indefinitely with few if any additional inputs. Today, sustainable means something which needs large and constantly growing public funding to continue. This is the opposite of its original meaning.
Any political issue where these two tactics are being used is false. The most obvious today is Global Climate Alarmism. The meaning of words shifts like sand in the Sahara during a haboob. And from early on, the Alarmists claimed the science was settled, and there was no ability for further debate. We see the same nonsense with COVID, particularly with the mask debate. It is commonly stated that "masks work," but there is little evidence of this, and there is at least as much evidence showing that the not only do not work, but they increase the risk of infection due to incompetent use and handling of masks. Masks are a cargo cult because the people told to use the masks do not know how to use them correctly, and therefore, cannot use them correctly.
Later Peterson points out that many, probably most people cannot stand the requirement of personal responsibility. This is the tragedy that leads to a totalitarian mindset. Totalitarians cannot stand the idea that they must be personally responsible, and to free themselves from this burden, they push all responsibility onto the state. This allows them to act murderously, with impunity.
