Yoko Ono calls America a 'war zone' in plea to end gun crime . . . so Ono, a talentless hack, claims the opposite. The war zone she rails against occurrs in cities like Chicago, Washington, D.C. and other toxic progressive caldrons. These places have been controlled by the Democratic Party for decades, and run like fiefdoms. Guns are tightly regulated in these caldrons, as are nearly all rights to self defense. The results are as expected, horrible, with high levels of violence, uncontrolled gangs, and a dangerous, deadly inner city. The problem is not guns. Over the past many decades America has hugely increased gun ownership, but not in those progressive caldrons, yet the places where gun ownership is high, and legal, violent crime is shockingly low. This includes all of the areas where concealed carry of handguns is simple, straightforward, and easy to accomplish. The reality is that where handguns are plentiful, legal, and can be legally carried by citizens, crime is low. On the other hand, where guns are scarce, illegal, and it is difficult to legally carry for self defense, crime, and violence are high. The problem is progressive politics, not guns. The real tragedy is that but for these progressive caldrons and their excessive crime, America would be considered a very safe, very low crime nation. The very reasons idiots like Ono spew hate filled rhetoric regarding gun control is because they live in these progressive caldrons of violence. Anti-gun laws, are they designed to stop criminals or you? You will be able to gauge the seriousness by whether they use TSA Careful with the Panic: Violent Crime and Gun Crime Are Both Dropping http://www.jrsa.org/projects/Historical.pdf "Across the country, and even internationally, the U.S. murder rate receives more attention than any other crime rate. The trend chart below shows the murder rate as a recurring flow of sustained increases and decreases spread over the 20th century. The rate increased through the early 1900s, peaking in 1933 at 9.7 murders per 100,000 population. The rate then decreased until 1960, followed by a sharp increase until the mid-1970s. The murder rate fluctuated over the last 25 years at a historically high level, as did the overall index crime rate, but has declined rapidly during the 1990s. The murder rate in 1998, the last full year of available data, hit a 30-year low of 6.9 murders per 100,000 population. Preliminary FBI statistics show this downward trend continuing into 1999." It continues to the present with a few minor fluctuations including an increase in 2015 due to the Black Lives Matter movement. I chose murder rates because most other violent crime definitions have changes between 1900 and the present, making it difficult to compare the numbers. We have returned to the historic lows of the late 1950s - early 1960s, and unless progressive governance is allowed to reassert itself this should continue. Much of this change is due to the strong pressures over the past few decades to incarcerate violent criminals for long terms, improved policing, concealed carry, and many other changes made since the violent crime peak in the mid 1990s. Ono is a stooge who knows little, but blathers much. Listening to her is a surefire way to become less informed.
