Son of marketing CEO charged in college cheating scam apologizes
Did he forget he did not take the ACT?
"The son of marketing CEO and author Jane Buckingham has apologized after his mother was charged in the college bribery scandal for allegedly paying $50,000 to have someone else take his ACT exam last year.
Jack Buckingham, who said he was advised not to speak about the matter, issued a statement to the Hollywood Reporter saying he was 'unknowingly involved' in the cheating scheme.
'I know there are millions of kids out there both wealthy and less fortunate who grind their a** off just to have a shot at the college of their dreams,' he wrote.
'I am upset that I was unknowingly involved in a large scheme that helps give kids who may not work as hard as others an advantage over those who truly deserve those spots.'"
These parents are incapable of letting their children live their own lives. They know that if they live the lives of their children for them, they will be better and easier. There is too little distance between these children and their parents. These people need psychological help.
