The progressive Dems have lost their minds, are in abject panic, and are lashing out at perceived enemies
Impeaching Trump a second time for holding a protest rally? Progressive Propaganda Tech/Social Media de-platforming anyone with an opinion different than the progressive Dems? Anti-Trust actions by Tech/Social Media titans to destroy any social media platform that does not de-platform anyone who is not toeing the progressive Dem dogma?
We are witnessing the progressive Democrats in freefall. They believe they have won the right to curtail the Americans' rights, expand the federal government's power, and politically, economically, and financially destroy any who disagree with their political views. These are not the actions of secure people confident of their positions, arguments, and status. We are watching the actions of the craven and insecure.
I expect the progressive Dems to legalize their dystopian list of bills and regulations designed to strictly limit individuals' rights in nearly every area of life. They will also make a full-court press to eliminate personal responsibility for progressive leftists while strictly enforcing and criminalizing personal responsibility for any who take a differing political position. Free speech, free association, the right to practice religion, and most of the rights delineated in the Bill of Rights will be subject to laws and regulations to reduce or eliminate these rights.
Many of these changes will come under the guise of protecting the environment, the poor, the elderly, or the children. All of these will be false flags for totalitarian control of the people, the economy, and politics.
At this point, anyone still outside of the progressive cult needs to understand that it will increase its violent repression of perceived enemies. This repression will increasingly be pursued through police action targeting normal interactions and beliefs as a criminal. However, now is not the time for violence or push back. Now is the time for those who support individual liberty, personal responsibility, free markets, and the rule of law to act lawfully and attempt to persuade the American people that the actions and goals of the progressive Democrats are abhorrent to the Great American Experiment in republican liberty.
We can still use the American constitutional process to change the progressive Democrats' totalitarian putsch.
Let the panicking, terrified progressive Dems establish they are the violent element in American politics as if the progressive left's past year of violence left any doubts.
In American history, the classical liberal side generally approaches political differences from the idea of presenting arguments and only acting out of necessity. One only needs to read the Declaration of Independence to understand how classical liberals address tyrannical totalitarianism. The Declaration of Independence is the end document of a process where the British King ruled the American Colonies via a totalitarian tyranny system, which amounted to the imposition of whimisical totalitarian laws without the right to representation the colonists. The colonists had attempted to negotiate with the colonial governors to no avail. The issue came to a head, and the colonists wrote the Declaration, a list of complaints, and the reasons they believed they had no alternative but to form a new independent government agreed to by the people. In Response, the British marched on Lexington and Concord and began the American Revolutionary War.
The Democrats do not follow this reasoned, careful approach. The Democratic approach can be seen in the American Civil War, where the Democrats threw an emotional fit because the slavery issue in the new states was not going the way they wanted. Instead of reasoned attempts and negotiation, the Dems decided to leave the union, create a confederacy, and attacked the United States of America at Fort Sumpter in April 1861, starting the American Civil War.
If a civil war is to come, it is up to the progressive Democrats to start it after implementing tyrannical totalitarian control over We the People.
Hopefully, cooler heads on the progressive Democrat side will prevail, and such an outcome can be averted, but I am not optimistic. The actions of the progressive Democrats over the year and specifically over the past week or so do not support optimism.
