Last November? The one before? How old is this record? How accurate the measurements? 

"It's lost ice just about every year since recording began in 1978."

1978? Really, that's the extent of the knowledge base, and you are throwing a hissy fit? You do realize that we only began warming out of the "Little Ice Age" just recently? Right? No? I thought not.

Look wankers, that you know little is obvious, that you think you know much also obvious, that you understand this not, painfully obvious. When we speak of idiot media, that's you.

Nothing about the current ice levels is worrying, get a grip. Come back in 500 years, or so once we have a sufficient number of data points to make sense of something, until then quit simpering. 

Since the Younger Dryas the earth has warmed significantly. Notice the approximate average during the past 10,000 years. Then notice that the above temperature line only briefly drops below the 25˚ line 3 times during the modern interglacial warm period before it drops below again for the prolonged Little Ice Age. This means that the Little Ice Age was an abnormally period of prolonged cooling during this interglacial period. That little flip at the end? That's all of our global warming, scary, huh!? No? I thought not. We are not back to the interglacial average temperature here, let alone some sort of serious out of control global warming. However, the Earth is warming, and consistently warming since the Little Ice Age. 

Is it really surprising that during this period of warming back towards the interglacial average temperature that we would find ice melting? And note, it is really only ice in the Arctic. The Antarctic has been gaining ice since 1978. 

But you note, that chart is not like the charts I see! There is a reason for that as well. This is the chart you usually see:

Better? Of course it is, this is what you usually see, truncated information dating only from 1860. They are actually the same data, the above only shows much more of the data, the lower shows only the data after the Little Ice Age. After all what better way to scare you about a nonexistent problem than edit the data to show only one part which is easy to make scary. Show all the data, and no one would waste their time listening to you it is too obvious you are a crank. 

That big rise in the bottom chart, is the same little flip in the upper chart, that is global warming in the greater context, nothing but a little flip, and not even a little flip which makes it back to the interglacial average temperature for the past 10,000 years. 

You noticed that smell also? No, not skunk, it's fulminating Global Warmist. They are boiling off somewhere in the background. They hate it went the truth comes out. Makes them boiling mad.
