Palin rightly hammers Trump for Crony Socialism

There is no such thing or even the possibility of "crony capitalism." It requires a government entity doling out rents/goodies, which is by definition socialism. Trump is wrong here, and badly. He may want to help his supporters, and be seen as doing so, but this is not the way to do it, nor the way forward economically. Businesses need to change, and as difficult as it sounds, that means increasing productivity, which means producing more, and better product with fewer labor inputs. 

In 1700, about 80% of workers were needed to produce food to feed the nation. Today we require less than 2% of the workers to produce food. The industrial economy is following the same productivity transformation. This will create dislocation as some employees are let go, as industrial manufacturing needs fewer workers. 

The solution is to remove the regulations, and restriction on businesses, and allow new models to emerge, and create the new jobs necessary to soak up these unemployed. Just as the industrial job was much better than the farm job, so will the new economy job be better than the industrial economy job. The problem today is that the progressives are hide bound and determined to keep the economy in the 19th and early 20th centuries. They have larded up businesses with regulations, and taxes sufficiently to quell any substantial innovation. This is done to maintain the relationships, graft, and corruption which the old industrial economy, progressive polity offers. 

Time for change. Trump should be the agent of change, but what he is doing here is not change, it is just progressivism rewarding Trump. This is terrible policy, and cannot result in long term benefit to these employees. Trump needs some good advisors in this area and soon.
