Hungary Tightens Law on Car-Hailing Services
Progressives are incredibly predictable, just evaluate which policy will allow the most graft, and corruption, and hurt the citizenry the most, and that will be the progressive policy.
"Hungarian lawmakers passed legislation Monday that allows for a ban on certain car-hailing services, making the Central European country the latest European Union member to lock horns with Uber Technologies Inc. after it upset the local taxi business with low prices.

By tightening the regulations, the government aims to protect those operating taxi services legally, paying taxes and adhering to the already existing rules, Janos Fonagy, development ministry state secretary, said in parliament."
To recap, low prices bad! Paying loads in taxes, and exchange receiving political protection, good.
This is just a Mafia protection racket writ legal, with the politicians being the primary beneficiaries, the bureaucrats the secondary, and the taxi companies the tertiary. All paid for through the largess of the taxpayers.
