Kurdistan deserves an amicable divorce from Baghdad
. . . Kurdistan should have created the second stable republican, free market, reformed religions state in the Middle East. Perhaps Obama will stumble upon this acorn!? Hahahahahaha. But who knows, incompetence results in unpredictable outcomes. Most galling is that the Bush failure was to keep Turkey in check, but Erdogan has completely run amok now. We should have sacrificed Turkey, if necessary, for the better option of Kurdistan. We should do so now.

“OPEC is Dead”
. . . the House of Saud must pump oil, or it will die. Of course, OPEC is dead. "Times have changed, though, and the country’s new man-behind-the-throne—the 31 year old deputy crown prince Mohammed bin Salman—has little interest in ceding Saudi market share in pursuit of higher prices while the rest of OPEC gets a free ride." Exactly. The House of Saud cannot afford to build Iran's coffers by cutting revenue. With Iran sans sanctions, The House of Saud is in dire straits for Iran already has an integrated economy, while Saud has an economy limited to oil alone. If allowed, Iran will use its oil revenue to build its integrated economy. This is the reason we are only now seeing the House of Saud pay attention to its non-oil economy, intent on selling off a portion of ARAMCO to fund a $2 trillion attempt to see if it can get the Arabs to actually go to work. Good luck with that. The reason they did not do it before? They do not think it is possible; they are desperate! The Islamic Reformation is coming, Iran will anchor the Shia, The House of Saud will Anchor the Sunni, the outcome should be the sublimation of Salafism/Wahhabism into a reformed Islam more in tune with the Enlightened West. And optimistically, this will trigger an Islamic Enlightenment. To do this the House of Saud, and its alliance with Wahhabism must fall. It's Game of Thrones with consequences! Airstrike on Syrian Refugee Camp Kills 28
. . . Syrian refugees. This is pathetic, as is everything coming out of Putin's Russia. "28 people are dead and 50 wounded after what are presumed to be Russian or Syrian warplanes attacked a refugee camp, the Syrian Observatory on Human Rights reports. The BBC reports: At least 28 people are reported to have been killed in an air strike on a refugee camp in rebel-held northern Syria, monitors say. Images on social media showed tents destroyed at the Kamouna camxp near Sarmada in Idlib province, close to the Turkish border. Some reports say the attack was by Syrian or Russian warplanes but this has not been confirmed. The strike comes a day after the extension of a truce was confirmed. The Syrian military and non-jihadist rebel forces had agreed to a temporary truce around the city of Aleppo, following pressure from the US and Russia. All the usual caveats apply: this is breaking news from a combat zone, Russian and/or Syrian involvement has not been confirmed (although who else would it be, in that area?), and it may in theory have been an accident. However, coming a week after Syrian/Russian warplanes struck a hospital in Aleppo, killing 50, it beggars belief to think this isn’t a continuation of the Russian-Syrian policy of deliberately terrorizing and driving out unfriendly civilians from areas they intend to hold after the war is over—what TAI Editor Adam Garfinkel has termed “migratory genocide.'" Of course it is Russia, or Syria, under Russian guidance. With the price of oil plummeting, Russia is moribund, so much so Putin is building a personal army ensure his own safety. While Obama and his foreign policy "guru", aka, idiot remain clueless, like the blind pig they occasionally stumble upon the acorn. SitRep: Thousands of U.S. Troops, Tanks Shipping to Eastern Europe The military is still run by mostly competent men, but the Obama administration's competence is rubbish. The blind pig found this acorn but don't count on this happening often. This would be an excellent time to simply shift troops from old Europe to Eastern Europe, permanently reducing our forces. This would nicely set up the US permanently leaving NATO and building new military alliances in the East. Old Europe is dying, and uncaring in their decrepitude. There is no reason to continue to provide these washed up wastrels with additional military protection. Perhaps Obama needs a come to Jesus, using Russia to achieve our foreign policy objectives is a disaster. Yet another legacy for the President. US-Created System In Iraq Is Collapsing: Protesters Storm Parliament, State of Emergency Declared - Live Webcast
. . . the man was handed a resolved recession, and a stable world where America was respected. He, and his foreign policy architect, Hillary Clinton, took great pains to utterly destroy every accomplishment. How much must this man hate America? It is impossible to even come to grips with the destruction. Central Africa, North Africa, the Middle East, the Near East, Europe, Russia, Eastern Europe/Ukraine/Georgia, the South China Sea, North Korea, are all building catastrophes. The collapse of the BRICS economies was unnecessary. The implosion of many parts of South America Venezuela/Brazil/Argentina was unnecessary. Yet neither the President nor his Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had viable plans to address any of these or any of the other problems facing the world. This has been the most incompetent Administration in my lifetime; the most destructive of democracy, free markets, liberty, and the most encouraging of tyranny, terror, and hate. An election looms, choose wisely. Dear China Korea will have missiles unless you cure the cancerous tumor which is North Korea . . .4/30/2016 Beijing and Moscow Object to U.S.–Korea Missile Defense Collaboration
. . . don't call us, we'll call you, don't let the door slap your ass on the way out. Pikers! Dear US government, more please, and faster! This is how to negotiate with China over the South China Sea issue. Now let's do a second verse of this song with the Philippines. Yes, we need to remain in control of this technology, but still, expanding it to the others in the anti-China coalition in the South China Sea will put pressure on China to act in a mature, reasonable manner. We need to have Congress hold hearings on whether we should end the Chinese Most Favored Trading Nation status as well. We don't need to go to the trouble actually cutting China loose, but they could use some pressure. As for Russia, I don't much care, it is a dying nation with a truly tiny economy, which has ensnared itself in Ukraine, Georgia, Chechnya, Syria, among other places. It's actions are making it a pariah among pretty much every other nation bordering it, and among the first world nations. Putin is settling into dictatorshiplite nicely. And it is entering an existential recession/depression due to its economy being all but entirely reliant on energy. The Hollow Men Smile and wave, it might be your last chance. China Blocks U.S. Navy Flotilla’s Visit to Hong Kong
Boom, China implodes in a puff of smoke. "WASHINGTON — The Chinese government on Thursday denied a Navy flotilla access to the port in Hong Kong, Pentagon officials said Friday, the latest sign of escalating tension between the United States and China. The rare refusal to allow the aircraft carrier John C. Stennis, and several other vessels accompanying it, to visit the port comes two weeks after the Stennis hosted the defense secretary, Ashton B. Carter, on a visit to the South China Sea, where the United States is challenging what it sees as excessive maritime claims by China. During the trip, Mr. Carter criticized the Chinese and said the United States would work with its allies in the region." Cut the status, then work with the antiChinese elements in the South China Sea. Congress can do much of this without actually changing the status by simply holding hearings on whether they should change the status. It is time to put China on notice. The President was golfing and did not return our smoke signals requesting a comment. Expect nothing and you will never be disappointed. The future is the ‘trust economy’
. . . as you may recall, family structure comes in a variety of flavors, but two essential "camps." The first is the Hierarchical Family structure (HF), or the Atomized Nuclear Family structure (ANF). The HF is simply a family structure which resembles the Mafia, a bureaucratic structure with generally the oldest male at the head. The ANF is the opposite, with each couple being independent from the rest of the extended family. The trust economy will finally put pressure on the rest of the world which uses the HF structure to begin to move towards, and adopt the ANF structure. This will allow the rest of the world to begin adapting to the more dynamic economic characteristics of the ANF. The Internet has been, and will continue to push the world towards an Anglospheric world view, with English as the primary world language, with free trade, and lower barriers to the international movement of people. Over time this will allow the world to more fully participate in the prosperity we are finding here at the End of History. Without oil, the House of Saud is little more than sand, hot air, and a butt load of evil . . .4/24/2016 Saudi Arabia: Nothing But A Lot Of Sand & Hot Air
. . . terrorist funding despots. Exactly why do we think of these human rights hating, fear mongering, terrorist funding, sociopaths as allies? Without oil they have no economy, and while they are now saying they will spend trillions to create an economy, no Saudi wants to actually work. It is time to roll out the big guns, open up federal lands to oil and gas development, and drive the House of Saud into retirement . . . or back to camel riding, whichever they can hold on to. This is the face of evil. Why It's Too Late to Scrap the Iran Deal
. . . including the Republican Presidential candidates. More below the fold! Enough with the Hillary cult
. . . Clinton voters overlook money lust, shadowy surrogates, sociopathic policy shifts, horrific overseas record. Why? Perhaps the best question this entire election season. Paglia is a good writer, and deep in left field, but nearly always worth your time. She is nothing if not independent, and willing to stake out her own position regardless of political costs to herself. While this happens more commonly on the right, it seldom occurs on the left, so when it does it is very refreshing. We need both parties in our political landscape, each should stand as a significant counterweight to the excesses that happen when the other party is left to run roughshod over politics. This is what happened from 2008 - 2010, and only slightly less from 2010-2012. The Democrat party had carte blanche during those early years, and the results were miserable. The execrable Obamacare is now collapsing under the unchecked weight of its excesses. Most of the other programs were utter failures, miring the nation in a pathetically moribund economic recovery. And seemingly leaving the economy now too exhausted to actually produce. Back to Paglia: "What is it with the Hillary cult? As a lifelong Democrat who will be enthusiastically voting for Bernie Sanders in next week’s Pennsylvania primary, I have trouble understanding the fuzzy rosy filter through which Hillary fans see their champion. So much must be overlooked or discounted—from Hillary’s compulsive money-lust and her brazen indifference to normal rules to her conspiratorial use of shadowy surrogates and her sociopathic shape-shifting in policy positions for momentary expedience. Hillary’s breathtaking lack of concrete achievements or even minimal initiatives over her long public career doesn’t faze her admirers a whit. They have a religious conviction of her essential goodness and blame her blank track record on diabolical sexist obstructionists. When at last week’s debate Hillary crassly blamed President Obama for the disastrous Libyan incursion that she had pushed him into, her acolytes hardly noticed. They don’t give a damn about international affairs—all that matters is transgender bathrooms and instant access to abortion. I’m starting to wonder, given the increasing dysfunction of our democratic institutions, if the Hillary cult isn’t perhaps registering an atavistic longing for monarchy. Or perhaps it’s just a neo-pagan reversion to idolatry, as can be felt in the Little Italy street festival scene of The Godfather, Part II, where devout pedestrians pin money to the statue of San Rocco as it is carried by in procession. There was a strange analogy to that last week, when Sanders supporters satirically showered Hillary’s motorcade with dollar bills as she arrived at George Clooney’s luxe fund-raiser in Los Angeles." As I said, Paglia offers a perspective seldom heard on the left. Read the whole thing. |
