How not to be ignorant about the world | Hans and Ola Rosling
Hans Rosling is a brilliant speaker, knowledgable, funny, and engaging. Ola could use some improvement, but then I would hate to follow Hans! This video is actually just about dead bang accurate as a how to manual on predicting the future.
All of Hans Rosling's videos on TED are worthwhile, especially the first one, and the Washing Machine.

Stunning 4K video tour of the International Space Station revealed
I remember seeing my first space capsule back when I lived in California as a child (1969-1972). I don't remember when, be we went to Sacramento, and waited out in the orange orchards for hours in a huge line to see the capsule up close, and personal. It really was exciting. We ate Space Food Sticks, and drank TANG on the ride home to Danville. Truth is the capsule was fantastic, the space food crap. We still ate it every chance we got, we all wanted to be astronauts.
Moment a guy gets knocked out when owner sees him peeing on his car
In the late 1970s I worked at the Boise Cascasde St. Helens paper mill. Frequently after work some of us would head down to a local tavern for a beer before heading home. One night, finished my beer, and decided to leave, as I stood up, one of the other guys decided to leave as well, We walked out together. And just like in the video, outside the bar, was a drunk pissing on the other guys truck. I drove a motorcycle, and parked it away from the main parking area to avoid idiot drunks. While we were not friends exactly, we got along fine, but he was mean as a snake to most people. He was a big guy, in really good shape. He walked up to the guy kicked him in the nuts, dropping him, them made the guy take off his coat and wipe all the piss off his truck.
I watched, in amazement as the guy wiped, and wiped. I rode off as he was finishing up. I never asked if the guy tuned the drunk up after I left. But I would have been surprised if he didn't. 1979 was a long time ago.

Uber killed the taxi, AirBnB killed the hotel, and the feds failures regarding pot might just kill the bank.
Ok, so kill is a bit strong, but the reality is that the institutions we thought sacrosanct just a decade ago are all under fire today, and many like travel agencies, are simply gone. The Internet, and the modern pressure to diffusion will fix this problem, and the federal government will have little or no ability to stop it. The changes occur so rapidly that government cannot regulate fast enough. New restrictions are quickly met by new advances, or altered models which do not fit under the regulatory scheme.
In the end, this benefits us all, but it should be assisted by government, not hampered. But politicians are nothing if not venal, and they see the graft, and corruption rich progressive model as an optimum, and the absence of graft, and corruption in the new economy as a bug, so they fight against the change.
